How do we best meet the needs of those with
special needs?
“The
Nature of Things” designs unique hands on programs, including birthday parties
that offer a nurturing developmental approach to the study of nature and
science. We use live animals and
individually designed nature curricula to meet the needs of
emotionally/physically/educationally challenged groups.
The
hands-on curriculum is integrated to include language arts, simple mathematics, as well
as science. We also introduce
nature-related vocabulary and material. Our
nature/animal programs focus on varied sensory experiences,
encouraging our audiences to recognize the differences and similarities among plants and animals. At all times
our naturalists are sensitive to any and all fears and concerns.
Our enthusiasm and professional teaching abilities nurture a love of
nature and science.
